Asado is a relaxed small bar with an early morning to late night kitchen featuring Argentinian street food and a parilla BBQ.

Share plates and mains are from the South-American streets; empanadas, choripans (chorizo hotdog) with a punchy chimichurri sauce, grilled chipotle corn cobs, anticucho spiced market fish with tomato adobo and dulce de leche inspired desserts.

Asado’s coal-fired parilla sees only unique cuts of meat, slow-cooked the Gaucho’s way.

Baristas and brekky chefs serve breakfast ‘til midday with a signature Argentinian twist.

Expect a neat little wine list taste-tested by owner and Mendoza winemaker Rob Bates-Smith, made up of his favourite Argentine picks, craft beers and kick ass cocktails.

Asado is a small bar at heart with a serious focus on food.

Lunch and dinner reservations for our canteen can be made online. Walk-ins are most welcome in our bar and alfresco. Breakfast is walk-in.
